Peepshow Paddy, DJ, promoter and head of the Disco Shed

Patrick Bickerton, aka Peepshow Paddy, Pimp Daddy Longs Leg - to give him his (ok, so it’s ridiculous) full title – knows how to rock a dancefloor, and never more so than in the Disco Shed. From humble beginnings falling asleep to the sounds of his brother’s stereo in the musical metropolis that Burton-upon-Trent really isn’t, this aspiring, now London based DJ and producer has quickly established quite a reputation for himself earning media coverage on BBC TV, 6 Music, in DJ Magazine, the Guardian Guide, Time Out, and on XFM, Passion FM, Six TV Oxford and on BBC online.

Since starting up Peepshow with three talented friends in late 2003 and dreaming of the big time, he quickly established himself in Oxford, spreading further afield soon after. He has since been very busy indeed, with festival packed summers, he is as happy playing to thousands of people in a field as he is to a crowd of sweaty clubbers packed in to a tiny venue.

His funky and eclectic uptempo sets aim straight for the dancefloor, taking in anything from nu–jazz, deep house, samba and disco to afrobeat, hip-hop, old and nu–skool breaks, drum & bass and beyond, but he still loves mixing up beautiful downtempo as much as anything else.

He has spent the last couple of years concentrating on his DJing career, but given time, he also records his own music under the pseudonym Fruitless, earning admirers such as Ulrich Schnauss and Alucidnation. He also played bass in his brother’s band the JBX who played the Big Chill festival in 2004.

He is currently working as Bookings Manager for Festinho, and has booked Gilles Peterson, The Bays, Hexstatic, James Yuill, Babyhead, Andy Votel, Rob Luis, DJ Derek, Faze Action, Zero DB, Hint, Wrongtom, Jon Kennedy, Diesler, Zeep, Carnival Collective, Introduding, Sidewinder, Carl Loben, Dr. Rubberfunk, and Burt Latino amongst others to play at the festival in the past.
