Festival favourites The Disco Shed are proud to welcome a two-headed DJing behemoth to their eclectic Book Club catalogue – Bill Brewster’s Fat Camp.

The head honchos of Disco SucksBill Brewster (author of Last Night A DJ Saved My Life and the uniquely sardonic DJ manual How To DJ (Properly)) and Paul Theo Noble know how to work a crowd in the best possible sense, with everything from their stock-in-trade dubby disco re-edits through funk and hip-hop to trip hop and Latin batucadas.

Originally a chef, a football pundit (co-editor of fanzine When Saturday Comes) and record collector, Bill began DJing in in the late 80s, but he cut his teeth playing ‘Low Life’ warehouse parties in Harlem and the East Village – he moved to NYC to run DMC’s US operation – and anyone hearing Bill today can see how these New York ‘roots’ shine through. For eclecticism, surprises, amazing unique music and sheer long-haul dedication to the dancefloor, Bill’s your man.

Since its conception at an Oxford house party in 2005, The Disco Shed has become festival-land’s must-have accessory – regularly popping up at The Big Chill, Latitude and countless others. Rolling deeper than So Solid and louder than your dad’s Flymo, tonight it’s the turn of birthday boy Peepshow Paddy and Loudat chugger-in-chief Jack Richens to bring the DIY garden party raving vibe to EC2.
